Duet is developed by Kumobius, an award-winning game development team known for their titles Time Surfer and Bean’s Quest. Inspired by Terry Cavanagh's contribution to game exploration and genres, they refer to Duet as a "Hex-like."

Composer Tim Shiel brings his exceptional talent to the game's soundtrack. As a composer/producer based in Melbourne, he has gained recognition for his electronic music released under the moniker Faux Pas and his work as a broadcaster on 3RRR FM. He has also performed as a multi-instrumentalist with Gotye's live band.
